How do I make a chekc box required in my form in dreamweaver cs4?

I'm just using the on click behavior for the order button for validation.

Or if someone could point me to a "standard" javascript for form validation that I could customize that would be awesome!

Use the built-in validation.

Among other helpful places, see communitymx's Dreamweaver's Form Validation Behavior.

Dreamweaver's form validation behavior doesn't recogize radio buttons or check boxes.  I need to validate these kind of fields.  Any other ideas?

Sorry, my mistake. blush

You may want to look at some of the dreamweaver extensions (or check out Spry). I don't use Dreamweaver as much as I used to.
