Is there a way to suppress the pop-up box for Email and Web Site entry? The users would be happy with the default and just want to enter the addresses by merely typing as they do with any other field. This is really slowing them down.

Thanks!

No.  It's a 1-to-many field (in that a contact might have multiple addresses) therefore the popup is a necessary evil.

If you use the NEW CONTACT window, however, as opposed to the main contact screen, to enter the information, users can get a flat field there.

What version of GoldMine are you on?  It's worth noting that the new contact screen is customizable and friendlier in GoldMine 8.x

We're on 8.03.

I did know about the New Contact window but thanks for confirming the pop-up will always appear once the Contact has already been entered. You saved me a lot of time wondering, researching, and clicking every menu!

Still haven't customized the New Contact screen.  Where do you find that?

basically, the new contact screen uses the primary field views and record typed.  You'd make more primary fields views in the Record Types admin center under Tools|Configure|Record Types.  Then, you'd assign them to the various record types and so on.

It might over-complicate things if you don't otherwise need/use record types, however...
