Do any of you chaps in the UK have any info on setting up Gamma IPDC sip trunks on the IP Office.

I have the following info from Gamma, but could do with pointing in the right direction as to how to configure the sip trunks on the IPO.

"Your IP Direct Connect Order, Gamma Order number 131119 has now been provisioned, and is ready for Acceptance Testing.
The details of your provisioned order are as follows:
IP Direct Connect Endpoint: DC2N00KKK023 - 81.131.21.171
The unique network identifier of the CPE that is connected to the IP Direct Connect Service)
Number of Channels: 2
Allocated DDI Number(s): 01618700000 - 01618700004
Configuration Details
Gamma Telecom IPDC SIP signalling gateway address: 83.245.6.81
1. Please note that the IPDC authentication is based on the CPE’s IP Address, hence the solution does not require SIP Trunk or Username/Password authentication.
2. The SIP header requirements in the INVITE packets originated from the CPE should be set as follows:
- SDP payload must be present, and must contain your public IP address
- FROM: header must contain public facing interface and originating CLI without leading zero
From: <sip:1234567890@public_ipaddress>
- TO: header must contain IPDC SIP gateway address and the called number with leading zero (UK number) or 00 (International number)
To: <sip:07891234567@83.245.6.81>
3. CLI numbers are validated against the Gamma assigned geo number ranges for each endpoint.
4. Traffic on the following ports must be forwarded through relevant routers and firewalls on the customer premises to allow access to the Gamma IP Direct Connect Network:
- TCP and UDP Port 5060 egress/ingress to 83.245.6.81 (IPDC SIP signalling gateway),
- UDP all ports between 6000 - 40000 egress/ingress to 83.245.6.82 (IPDC Media gateway) Omission of this setting will result in one-way speech!
(Please note if you require to port numbers to the IP Direct Connect endpoint, this process can only commence once the new IP Direct Connect node has successfully been provisioned and tested)
The Endpoint is now in a position to be tested, can you please undertake the pre-defined Service Acceptance Tests that were outlined in the e-mail that Gamma forwarded to you on Order Acceptance. (The tests are included in an attachment to this mail for your information)

Yes, I have Gamma IPDC trunks working.

1) Find a STUN server (stunserver.org) and set up STUN correctly for the interface you are going to use. Ensure that the STUN process fills in the blanks... You may also need to add static IP routes

2) Create a SIP line. Add the .81 address as the SIP address
Clear the registration required tick box. check the in service tick box. Set the network topology to the correct settings i.e. what you have in 1

3) in the URI field add your DDI numbers (gamma allocated) in the URI, COntact and SIP name fields. Also add a Use User Info entry. Alll of these entries shoudl point to the same line group. Set the number of channels = 2 for these too.

4) Fill in the SIP details on the User Tab. However OMIT the leading 0 from all entries - otherwise CLI outbound will show the default.

5) Set up incoming call routes.

6) Add ARS table say 51 - SIP. Add ARS shortcode N; / dial / N"@83.245.6.81" / lg - what you set in 3. Set the dial delay timer in the ars to 2 or 3 secs and set Secondary Dialtone.

7) Add System shortcode 8N / dial / N / 51 and 8 / dial / <blank> / lg - 51

8) Test - all should be good except incoming cli will display without the leading 0. Contact Gamma and they will short that out.

Most of our installs go onto existing ISDN trunks.

I keep meaning to get some sip trunks in here but i dont like our line providor so the less i have to work with them the better.

Cheers Matt,

I'll give it a try over the weekend.

Matt,

I maybe being thick here but Ive had a look at this today and don't get the stunserver bit, ive had a look over what you posted :-
"1) Find a STUN server (stunserver.org) and set up STUN correctly for the interface you are going to use. Ensure that the STUN process fills in the blanks"

What exactly do I need to do with stunserver.org and the stun setup in the IPO?
Worked with Voiceflex & Sipgate before but havn't had the pleasure of setting up Gamma IPDC.

Gaz

Have you used STUN when you set up trunks from the other providers? If so, you just need to set up STUN for the IPDC trunks. However, voiceflex provide their own stun server, Gamma don't!

There is a public STUN server at stunserver.org, which resolves to 132.177.123.13

So (assuming your router is on LAN1) go to the network topology tab for the LAN interface and enter the address in the STUN server IP address. Leave everything at its default values, except the rebinding timer (the only timer on teh form) and set that to 90s (you can increase this timer later - up to about 5 - 8 minutes depending on your NAT device) Put a tick in the Run STun on Startup box. Click Run STUN and wait - maybe up to 90s. You will the other boxes automatically filled in. If not, you will need to add the IP routes to the IPO Office
132.177.123.13 / 255.255.255.255 / <IP of Gateway> / LAN1
83.245.6.81 / 255.255.255.255 / <IP of Gateway> / LAN1
83.245.6.82 / 255.255.255.255 / <IP of Gateway> / LAN1

and try again.

Finally, once the deails are filled in correctly (your public IP address 81.131.21.171 is shown in the STUN setup and the firewall type isn't blocking firewall) Ensure that the Network topology is set to LAN1 in the SIP line form and it should all be good!

Obviously, if your router is in LAN2, substitute LAN2 for LAN1!

The built in stun server in the IPO works for Gamma. simply click "Run Stun" in the LAN port you are running the SIP truck via and away it goes.
However, I have found with the Gamma SIP trunks, when you reboot the IPO you have to run the STUN client again!
