Can someone let me know if there is anything I need to configure on the ipLDK300 to get these phones working. I bought 6 of a well known auction site and plugging them in to the system I get absolutely nothing, no display and no dial tone. We already use the LDP-2004D and LDP-2008D without any problems.

I don't know if it makes any difference but the PABX is a straight LG and the phones are LG-Nortel. I've been assured it doesn't but it's worth checking.

Many thanks,
Duncan

For the ipLDK-300, you can use the following keysets:

LG Nortel 7004 Telephone LDP-7004.
LG Nortel 7008 Telephone LDP-7008.
LG Nortel 7016 Telephone LDP-7016.
LG Nortel 7024 Telephone LDP-7024 (w/ small and large display.).
Also LKD-8DS, LKD-30DS and LKD-30 LD, and several others can be used.
Please write what it says on the label under the phones, and post it here...

It says

LG-Nortel
LDP-7016D
KEY TELEPHONE UNIT
HEARING AID COMPATIBLE
MADE IN KOREA

to the right of the label it has
BK - for black I assume
UK - for UK

On another label it has
16KT1180-00
S/N:608KCBD028325

Thanks

The ipLDK-300 comes in different s/w versions.
Try to dial [TRANS/PGM]+72 from any working keyset phone and post the result here in this forum.

The phones (LDP-7016) are OK, but if elder s/w versions are used for the ipLDK-300, then they will not work.

If the ipLDK-300 has a s/w like this or older. then the LDP--70xx keyset will not work:
LGE / UK30P - 1.0 Bf
LGE / UK30P - 2.0 Ai
LGE / UK30P - 2.2 Bf  JUL/03
(Up to s/w 2.2 (1.0 ->2.2).).

If the s/w of the ipLDk-300 is like this:
LGE / UK30P - 3.0 Ai  JUL/04
LGE / UK30P - 3.5 Ax  JUL/06
LGE / UK30P - 3.8 Ai  JUL/08
(Up to s/w 3.8 (3.0 -> 3.8).).
Then the LDP-70xx phones will work.

The software version is UK30P-3.5BK NOV/05

so in theory they should work.
Th seller I purchased from recon they tested them on an ipLDK20 with no problem but I'm seriously doubting that now unless there's anything else I can try.

Your s/w is OK for the LDP-70XX phones.
Try to connect it in a plug, where a working phone is installed. Then write, what is written in the display.
