Yes, The "" are important, I prefer the N as oppose to the xxx as that will match as soon as three digits are dialled where as the N means you can use other # shortcodes, not that I ever do :)

TomMills has it correct for 4.2. amriddle01 has it wrong unless you have a 1 digit extension :)

scottjc has it correct for 4.1 and before.

It works for 2,3,4, or 5 digit extensions actually :)

I was working on 2.1 last week so my head is 5 years slow today.

scott i hate it when that happens, its like going back in time. everytime the client asks for something you have to check if and how it works on early releases. not cool.

#N would only collect 1 digit unless you had Dial Delay Count set to something other than 0. #N; on the other hand would collect any number of digits.

No, you're right, I'm confusing myself now, the rest of my shortcode was good though :) I wouldn't mind my own test kit uses #XXX, #N must have been for something else I used recently, my head is spinning after putting R5 on 4 systems and linking them together in different scenarios for the last week or so :-(

Works spot on now I had put my " the other side of the N

e.g "#N" which just caused the phone system to connect to my own voicemail.

Thanks for all your comments.
