Oracle 10g Application Server certificate Help!

We have a portal server that I want to set up with our wildcard GoDaddy certificate. We were told that it will not support wildcard certificates. My boss isn't buying this and wants me to inistall it. I am on shakey ground on both Oracle and certificates. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
