Hi Folks,

We recently went live with MAS500 7.05. A strange behavior that we are seeing when it comes to posting invoice batches is that although a user does not have access to post an invoice batch some of the batches show up as posted by that user. One pattern that some user say is that if they print the batch a few times it seems to get posted.

Anyone with any insights in this please let me know ASAP.
Thanks,
Kush.

Sounds like a 'bug'.  Have you tested the theory about "print[ing] the batch a few times"?  I'd be interested in hearing.

What is the full MAS 500 version (e.g., MAS 500 v.7.05.15)?

Sorry for not having posted this message before. I found out what the problem was. Yes it is a sort of a bug. What happens is the default selection for the radiobutton list  [post only, print and post, print and prompt to post, and print only] ends up being POST ONLY. And even if the user does not have access to select that radio button, if the user does not click any of the other buttons (like print only) the batch posts.

I had to write a vb script code to select the print only option by default.

Honestly I have been facing so many problems with MAS500, especially in the security area, that I sometimes I wish we should have stayed with MAS200.

Hope this helps.
Kush.
