I have 25 pc's that belongs to a workgroup without any server and need to setup local respository so that pc's can download updates from local respository.Have tried that but which files do i download to local repository.
Have a tried datxxxx.zip but update cant find sitestat.xml and catalog.z etc.
How must i configure this as i'm used to Epo in domain environment.

On computer, where will be your McAfee local repository, open VirusScan Console and create New Mirror Task (File menu) and specify your repository root folder as mirror location. You can schedule it or start manually. This task will place all needed files in this folder.
Workstation, where resides repository, cannot update from it, because both repository update and local update uses the same repository list.
Curreently there is about 175 MB in my repository and it grows slowly.

Thanks for your feedback.I dont have to manually download specific security updates on local repository pc. Will it automatically download updates for me and then i just add local repository to other clients.

You cannot specify what updates to download. This task will download all content of NAI repository (will make mirror of it). As I said, you can schedule it.

Hi Maya14

If you still have a valid entitlement to download McAfee products, then you should be able to download a product called McAfee AutoUpdate Architect

This product can be install on XP and downloads updates from McAfee and then act as a central repository for other clients to update from.

This works better than creating Mirror Tasks in VirusScan, although creating mirror tasks is also a possible way of achieving what you require.

AutoUpdate Architect allows you to schedule update downloads like EPO, but you will not be able to schedule updates for clients and policies for clients.

Hope this helps.
