The FastRad is set to Auto Answer/Line 165/6 rings. Line 165 has the correct received digits but when I call the DID, the receptionist answers (they have full AA). The password and system id have been assigned. I was onsite yesteday and backed up the switch, so I don't know what I'm missing?

sounds like DTR to Prime is set for that line. Try turning that off for that Target line or better yet make the RADs ext the prime set.

Sound like reception has 165 assigned too or is the prime set.

Change prime set to the RAD's ext or have the RAD answer on 0 rings.

Another odd thing about this problem, I looked into Maintenance on Port 128 (where the Rad is connected to) & it shows a M7310 for the device. I thought it was supposed to show RAD?

Ex - The least amount of rings you can assign in the rad programming is 6. What about the device showing M7310?

I was wrong, it's 6 seconds not 6 rings. I just looked in the FastRad install guide and the Answer Delay says 6-60 seconds. I guess my ultimate question is, why is the call going to the operator and why does it show M7310 in Maintenance?

If its an older Fast Rad I remember they had to be upgraded to accept the higher target line numbers.

You might want to see if the A/A is answering that line under F.983...should be set fot no.

What are your answers to my questions above???????

And what if reception does not answer? what will answer after that and how many rings?

another place I found that target lines have had troubles is when the system is using one of the services. all the target lines have ext 21/221 as the control set.

another default for target lines is the primeset goint to the attendent. like noted above, make sure you kill line 165's control set, remove the primeset and make sure that it does not appear on the attendents phone and you shold be gold.

In 2001 there was a patch issued for Fast Rads that were not answering on PRI lines. Nortel still has the patch. Sorry I don't know the number.

Its called Fastrad firmware update. I have a disc with it on but it must be corrupted. I cant open it or copy it or do anything else with it. Maybe its still available for Nortel.

If you can't find it, post and I will check for a copy.
