Even the simplest questions require a little more info.
Which version of Crystal are you using?
Which 'username' were you wanting to show? CE User / Windows User etc etc
I recall CRXI Had a special field for CE user if I remember correctly.

thanks for your reply, we are using crystal report 9, when users read report, windows user name is required to show up.
is it possible?

In order to get Windows User Name to show up in your report, you are going to have to look at a tool like CUT Light from Millet Software:

Not that I've ever found with 9.
You could conceivably get the database user name if you could rewrite the query to include it. That's the way I'd try if I had access to the database. That's what I'm currently using in the few reports I'm doing this with.
But I don't think you can get this from crystal 9.
