Hi,

I'm running RPC over HTTPS for our Exchange server. We don't have a front end server, just a back end server that is running the RPC Proxy service.

I have AD/GC servers.

Everything is fine, except I'm seeing messages from Outlook clients saying "Outlook is trying to retrieve data from the
Microsoft Exchange Server..." after a few seconds it goes away and everything works again.

The only errors I see is in the IIS logs:
xxx 443 HTTP/1.1 RPC_OUT_DATA /rpc/rpcproxy.dll?<ExchangeServerFQDN>:6004 - 1 Connection_Dropped DefaultAppPool

Any ideas??

I have 2 other AD/GC servers, AD is NOT on the exchange server.

Not that I'm aware, I was able to reproduce this during off-hours.

Would this be a connection issue with the RPC proxy service communicating with the DC? Or just general connection issues communicating with the exchange box?

I tried adjusting port timeout settings on my firewall but has had no impact.
