novell server 4.11 mirror problem

I recently install novell server 4.11 on a pentium 3 with 512 mb ram. adaptec 2940u/w with 2 X 36 gig quantum 10k rpm drive. this install has the latest update patch.

everything is working fine except that i could not complete the mirror. the mirror start to about 70% then it stop. i low level formated the mirror drive and replace it 3 time and i still get the same error.
elow is the actual syslog error.
   The mirrored partitions on server DGP1 are not all synchronized.

   Severity = 4  Locus = 3  Class = 6
   The mirrored partitions on this system are not all synchronized.
