I'm in a pickle with this one.

I have followed Microsoft's instructions to install .net 3.0 (as per http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa964978.aspx)

However, the directx software rasteriser does not install and i have tried it on 5 separate machines.  Has anyone experienced this before or know what is wrong.

I'm deploying to WinXP SP2 from Windows Server 2003 domain controller.  The errors in the eventlog on the machine is as follows:

"The assignment of application RGB9RAST from policy Software_DotNet3 failed.  The error was : Fatal error during installation.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp." - Where obviouslty there is no more information :(
