Make tab key work as enter for certain users

Is there a way i can add something to a users profile that will chnage the key map for the tab key so it works like the enter key? When a user logs into POS software I want the tab to function the same as the enter key.

I'd say you'd have more chance of doing this by altering the key mapping in the terminal emulator they're using?

I can make it work within their terminal emulation (Facetwin), but they have dumb terminals at the POS stations.  Any suggestions???

I've done this with solder and wires, but it's not pretty, and you'd never have a real "TAB" key to use again.
Does your application use a TERMCAP file?
