Hi ALl,
There is an excel file that resides on one of our shared folders over the network via a windows2003 share. The file has become locked. When attempting to open the file from any workstation or server I get the following error: "*.xls file is locked for editing by user xxxx-xxx -". The user name does not appear to be a user on our network. On the server where the shared file resides, I've checked the "open files" via shared folders under "folder management" and this file in question is not listed there, but somehow this file is locked.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have not been able to find any useful articles for this.
