I've purchased a second hand HP Laserjet 2500 Color. During (or before) transport there has been a major toner leak.
Almost the entire yellow tonercartridge leaked out.
Therefore after 12 pages it was "over and out"! No prints and nothing but error messages.
With the vacuumcleaner and a small brush I've cleaned the whole thing as much as I can and wherever I can reach.
I've taken out all the parts that can possibly be gotten out, took the side panels off, even the rear. Cleaned as much as possible, replaced all toners and the drumkit.
Now it is still not working. The drum that holds the cartridges keeps on turning. It looks like it cannot find the reference point.
Does anyone know how it finds this reference point and where it is located?
I thought it could be a copper strip on the rotating drum and now it is so very dirty that it does not make the necessary contact. But it might also be somewhere very different and in a very different way. Maybe even an "eye"...
Is there anyone who can help me???
Many thanks in advance.
