No PPP connection since i got windows XP 1

Hi all

since i got windows xp on my computer i'm not able to start a PPP network connection thru the as guard.
when i start to connect to the guard i'll see the
login-prompt: then i want to key in the username and the password, but i don't see any echo.

with windows 2000 it was no problem

any ideas

It's a problem with one of the Windows Updates....

You will need to remove updates labelled as KB911280, KB916281 and KB917953.

i removed the updates on my second "xp" partition, and the i was able to start the PPP connection
