Hello,

Our database has been working fine , but now out of the blue we are getting "Object Invalid or No Longer Set" when performing a standard "CTRL+F" search on a field.

What does this error mean, why has it started happening, and of course, how can we fix it.

Many thanks

1DMF.

Have you seen this (?):
DB corrupt, get rid of error
faq705-4683

I'm not sure how that applies to my problem I don't get any of those errors.

It seems to be a session / connection timeout causing the problem. I understand that there was a Jet driver issue which MS acknowledged and supossedly fixed with further patches, it would seem the problem is back!

I've created a timer interval and done a couple of DCOUNT'S via the switchboard to try to keep the connection alive or issues application.quit!

I have had the msgbox "Connection Lost" , application.quit happen to myself since adding this code to the switchboard interval timer, so I can definately say it is a connection timeout issue with the Access front end and SQL.

I guess maybe 10 minute polling intervals isn't enough, I might move it to 5 mins and see if it still happens.

any other thoughts from anyone?
