I'm trying to #include a file into an ASP page.  When I view it in Homesite, the file does not appear to be included, but when I view the page through an external browser, it is there.

Is there something that must be configured in Homesite before it will include a file?  Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Your question is ancient by now, but on the off chance you check back, I think what you're looking for is defining a server mapping.

-Look under Options/Settings/Browse.
-Check "Use MS-IE" and "Enable server mappings".
-In "Map From", enter the path to the files you want to route thru the server.
-From the "Map To" pulldown, select your local server.
-If you want to use a remote server, first go thru the steps to add an FTP server under the Remote Files Resource tab (in the left frame, the tab next to the one that shows you your files).  It's not too hard, but you do have to have all the network info about your remote server.  Once you've added it, it'll show up in the "Map To" pulldown mentioned above.

Hope this isn't too late to be of any help!
