Hi,

We have MAPD TN801B assembly in our customers S8700/MCC/G650 system (CM 3.0.1), and after power outage (backup batteries didn't lasted long enough) on MCC (PN01) , that board is constantly in OSINIT state. We tried rebooting it, taking it out and putting it back in, we checked all cabling, but the problem is still present.

Any help..?

Regards,

Sounds like you have a unix problem. The option you could try is to boot the mapd from a PCMCIA installation disk. I do not think there is a hardware failure because the system would boot twice and the display would go blank(in case of cpu or harddisk trouble) Maybe unix got corrupted due to the power failure.

I could be very hard to find a TN801 board because avaya does not sell them anymore.

Check document 230136_3 on the support website

slovic,

connect to the map-d via terminal port using serial cable and reboot it. upon boot you'll see diagnostic messages and such. record all this and call avaya, they might help.
i second to avayafreakje, sounds like unixware is corrupted.
