I have a customer running 3.1.48 on a IP 412.

The problem is when trying to play back recordings, the playback control box at the top of the witnes web screen screen does not always appear.

The playback control box appears on some machines but not others.

I'm thinking it could be a Java problem, but any ideas would help.

Cheers
Dave

We are currently working on this issue and trying to find a 100% resolve. Seems to be related to some recent security patches released by Microsoft for IE6.

Two things you can try;

Reset the security options for the Internet Zone the Contact Store is in to Default
You can also try deleting the "Replayx1 Control" (found in the IE "Downloaded Program Files" Folder) and the csreplay.ocx (found in the Windows System32 Folder)
- this should force it to be re-downloaded when contact store is next launched.

Please let us know how you go

What about

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=B7D9801B-4FB5-492E-903E-3400ABF1D731&displaylang=en

Sorts out the problem on XP SP2 when the displays don't work correctly.

There is a Microsoft patch that broke this and a new one that corrects the ActiveX problem.  I'm out of the office but I will look this up for you when I return.  There are 2 different patches for this issue.

The problem was when Microsoft Update KB912812 was loaded.  This update broke the ActiveX control that the ContactStore uses.  You need to run Microsoft Update KB917425 to fix the issue.  If memory serves me correctly this will need to be ran on the Windows 2003 Server as well as any other PC that the recordings are accessed from.

Hope this helps!!!

I just did a search for it and that came up! Can't remember what I did search for but it was driving me nuts also. Probably SP2 and activex search in google did it!
