Only ports 1 though 8 of 16 port digital station working

Setup includes IP office 403 version 3.0(40), digital DCPx16V2 version 5.0(69)

When plugging in a digital phone (Avaya 5420) in ports 9 though 16 the LED display on the phone just says “please wait” and never display an extension.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Firstly I would upgrade everything to the same version, twice if you feel like.

I would use either 3.0(69) or 3.1(5602)

Upgrade the processor and all the expansion modules to 3.1.56. I believe this issue has been resolved in the 3.1.56 software.

At the very least, upgrade the processor 9and any other expansion modules) to 3.0.69 to match the level of the DS16.

you will get a kinds of problems if the firmware does not match on all of the modules and the proc. i would upgrade to make everything even. 3.1.5602 is the latest. the expan modules should be 5.5.5602

FYI - 3.1(65) is now on Avaya's website for download.
