GP 8.0 Can it run on SQL 2005?

I have spent a bit of time trying to figure out a upgrade path for us. We will be going to GP 9.0 (from 8.0) and we will be going to SQL 2005 (from SQL 2000).

Question is - will GP 8.0 run on SQL 2005? -and- will GP 9.0 run on SQL 2000?
I can only find references to FRx Forecaster not liking 2005... good thing we do not use it...

just trying to figure out the old chicken and egg thing -ideas?

GP 9 does run on SQL 2000.
I have upgraded from 8 to 9 on SQL 2000 without any problems.

Version 8.0 is compatible with SQL 7.0 & 2000. From V8.0 SP4 it should be compatible with SQL 2005.

Version 9.0 is compatible with SQL 2000 & 2005 but support for SQL 7.0 has been discontinued.
