Any Way to Get Google to Update Links?

Hi,

I recently revised a website for a client and in the process changed the file names of the pages. Then, the client pointed out that Google still had the old file names on the pages that had been cataloged by their search engine (even though the revision occurred early in 05). So, when someone clicks on those references in Google, they get a message that the page doesn't exist.

I could go in and change the file names back, but that would entail a lot of work because many internal references would need to be changed.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get those file names updated on a search engine?

Thanks!
Bill
