Nokia 6600 connection to Windows XP

Our old XP sp1 PC would only intermittently recognise our (2) paired Nokia 6600's via bluetooth, and our new XP sp2 pc fails every time (it connects but a few secnds later claims that the remote device has terminated the connection - I think not!).

Having heard that other people have experienced dodgey bluetooth connectivity, I decided on a different approach:

My solution was a ridiculously cheap infrared USB dongle from ebay - no need to set up pairing etc and connection is now 100% reliable on either phone.
