Hi All

I've just downloaded the above service pack for netware 5.1
When I run nw51sp8.exe in a dos window I get the following error at the end of the run:-

*** Valid ARJ-SECURITY envelope signature:
*** Novell, Inc. R#100026

Found     3 error(s)!
But I've no idea what the errors are.
Has anyone come across this before and  if so how do I resolve it?

Thanks in advance

Dave

ARJ errors mean you got a bad download.

Thanks Lawnboy,
I'll try the download from a different download site

One thing I tried that helped - you must run the download from the root directory of the drive, as the service packs create very, very long paths to subdirectories.

Hi Again,
I downloaded nw51sp8e.exe ( english version only )instead
During the file extraction I found my 3 errors:-
They are
"Can't open nw51sp8e\Products\NSBS\Startup\Server.exe"
"Can't open nw51sp8e\Products\NWGB\Startup\Server.exe"
"Can't open nw51sp8e\Startup\Server.exe"

I'll see if I get the same errors after downloading nw51sp8.exe again

That is probably your virus software causing that problem.

Thanks Marvin
I never thought of that - I'll try tomorrow
