call waiting beep

Is there a way to not get a call waiting beep when another call is coming in?
I want the second intercom path to ring.

any thoughts?

Upgrade to 3.0
It's the only way.

Enabling Call Waiting allows a user who is already on a call to be made aware of another call to their extension. An intermittent call waiting tone is played (the tone varies according to locale) and depending on the phone type, information about the new caller may be displayed.

Note: If the user has call appearance buttons programmed, call waiting will not get activated. The next incoming call will appear on an available call appearance button. When there are no available call appearance buttons, the next incoming call will receive busy tone.

Call Waiting On: Default = Off
Call waiting attempts to give the user a tone to indicate other calls are waiting.

So : turn off call waiting or program call apearance keys.
*15 - Call Waiting On
*16 - Call Waiting Off

It still says the same thing in the 3.0 documentation, however - now (with 3.0) when a call comes in the phone rings once then the second call appearance simply flashes. No more irritating call waiting tone during your conversations.
