How do I display "No Data" in a List or Crosstab Report 1

I am trying to display the message "No Data" in the fields that have no data to display in a list report and I know I will also have to do it for a cross tab report. Any suggestions, hints or help with either one would be appreciated!

One method I use is to create a static text field saying "No Data Found". I place this is the page header and place a data-driven field on top of it. Then select the data-driven field, right-click it, and select 'bring to front'. This will cause the warning to disappear behind the data field when there is data, but it will appear when there is no data.
