I need to create a graph, indicating room usage, hours down rows & days across columns (1-end of month). I need to be able to colorize it based on user (tom used it on the 4th from 9-12, print squares 9-12 in column 4 in red and also on the 16th from 2-4, in column 16 squares 2-4 are red) but no actual data should be printed.

I am having trouble determining how to accomplish this. Currently excel is used to manually create such a report, I am trying to do something like this using a database & automating the report.

Thanks

I wouldn't use a graph. You can create some nice looking reports as per the calendar samples at
Let me know if you have any questions since these were my creation.

Hi dhookom,

I finally got around to understanding what your report did, and I believe the way rptAppointWeekly generates the report will do what I need.

I do have some questions about modifying (really creating the report based on my criteria grouped by room, & day) I can put the 31 fields across the row that I need. I am having a few other problems that maybe you could clarify for me. Is there some way I could e-mail you directly with specifics?

Thanks

I would prefer to keep most questions in the forum. Try to identify exactly what you need and then ask away.

Well, I've worked most of the problems thru. I am using a 24 hour schedule. The only grouping I have is on Room Name.
The first day of the schedule, it shows 2 users, however for some reason it is breaking on hour 21 (mid user), it goes to the 2nd page, then prints 2 days data (the same user has the room from 1800 on the 1st thru 0100 on the 2nd)

My bad. I went back to the data when nothing else made sense. I thought I had cut & pasted a field... I had left a space out of the room name. Works great, Thanks

Dhookum,

I have another question about the scheduling database you referred me to. How do you keep patients from scheduling overlapping appointments with the same Dr. I see you are just using a schedule date & Start & end times. I believe the way I'm thinking about doing it would just be complicating things, so I was wondering how you did the check.

Thanks,
Tamra

The data in the sample application was all generated just for the demo. You can test for overlapping by determining if the appt start < Any End and appt End > Any Start for the particular doctor/room.
