Do framesets work in handhelds and mobile phones

The general advice found everywhere is that Framesets do not work in handheld or mobile devices and therefore should not be used.

Actually, it is precisely because of the way that Framesets degrade with the Noframes tag that makes them an excellent tool for menu-navigable content.

The same HTML displays well in both Desktop and Mobile devices without modification.

Here is an example:

View it first with a regular desktop browser and then with a mobile device. If you do not have a mobile device there are many emulators out there. Here is one:
